Hello HR peeps! My name is Vijay, and I am currently navigating the Human Resources realm as an HR Generalist. I have been exploring this field for four years and have had the chance to touch on almost every aspect of HR.
I have had the privilege of working for multiple companies in different fields, such as tech, healthcare, and education. I have seen what it is like to be in both a union and non-unionized environment.
Before entering the depths of the HR world, I spent time in the insurance industry as an Adjuster, Team Lead, and an Investigator. This time spent as an employee provides me with a unique perspective as I have seen both sides of the coin when it comes to interacting with those in the Human Resources department.
My professional development has led me to become very passionate about Human Resources, which is how this blog came to be.
As all of us in Human Resources know, the field is ever-changing. This makes it both exciting and challenging to keep up with all the changes. However, we can all agree that it is paramount for any HR professional to stay in the know.
This is where the HR Ink comes in!
HR Ink is here to provide updates that impact the HR world, such as certain AI programs that can used, employment law changes, best and efficient HR practices, etc. The goal is to provide all HR professionals with an easy opportunity to stay up to date with any changes that could impact the Human Resources world.
I will also be providing my opinion on certain best practices that have worked in my experience to help make my life easier within my career and make many of my processes more efficient. I believe sharing this can make many HR professionals’ work lives easier or at least provide some good ideas to get the gears turning for creative ideas.
So fellow HR voyagers, grab that cup of coffee or tea and let’s set sail as we explore the HR world together.
Ps. I always love to connect and chat with other professionals! For anyone who would like to connect, feel free to add me on LinkedIn, my profile can be found here.
